First Reconciliation

Preparation for the first celebration of the sacrament Penance & Reconciliation typically happens in Grade 2 or a child's second full year of Faith Formation.  Since this sacrament is such important part of our Family Faith Formation program We invite you to read more about this sacrament on the website for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops: here.

If your child has not yet received a full year of Faith Formation learning, and is beyond Grade 2, please get in touch with the Faith Formation team. We would be happy to work with you and your child to prepare for and receive this grace-filled sacrament! Please contact us via the Sacrament Coordinator

Reconciliation

Children wishing to prepare for and receive First Penance and Reconciliation should be enrolled in our full school-year Faith Formation program.  The Diocese of Buffalo directs that a child should complete a full program year of Faith Formation learning before receiving the sacrament of First Penance and Reconciliation.

Ceremonies:  Ceremonies dedicated to the celebration of First Reconciliation will be held in late January and early February.  The ceremonies are typically held late morning or early afternoon on Saturdays.
